Infinity Playing Cards (Ellusionist)

"One of the most ambitious decks of cards in Ellusionist history, we set out to create the most unique deck of playing cards ever created.

The tuck box of the Infinity deck overflows with a richness of design that US Playing card originally said, "Cannot be accomplished." So, we went to work directly with their pressmen, their special effects experts, research & development departments, working in unison to finally land upon a creation that is worth of notoriety in the world of playing cards.

More beautiful than we could have possibly imagined, the entire Ellusionist and US Playing Card Co. teams are unanimous in wondering if it's possible to raise the bar beyond this work. The card case box has multi level embossing AND debossing to strategically create depressions in the face so your fingers can graze over depressions falling into infinity.

We hope that you will be stricken the same way we were when we first open our first sample decks.

Fact List

• Performance Coating Finish - engineered by Ellusionist & USPCC
• Custom Indexes and Court Cards
• Multi-Level Embossing & Debossing.
• Gold & Silver Foil Stamped card box.
• Designed by Lee McKenzie and Jason Brumbalow
• Aesthetically Crafted Borders, for ease of use in performance.
• Metallic Silver and Gold Inks used throughout the deck.
• Full custom court cards, Ace, Pips and face cards.
• A newly-designed joker equipped with a blatant yet invisible reveal.

Infinity pushed our own designers, as well as engineers, technicians and artists at USPCC to the absolute edge - proving these cards worthy of the name Infinity." -Ellusionist

Fantastique (Dan and Dave)

"Fantastique is a beautiful deck of playing cards inspired by the apparatus of magic‘s golden age and the automatons of Robert-Houdin. It also happens to hold a secret of its own.
When the cards are riffled through like a flip book, the illustrations come to life, animating two of magic's most famous illusions. An orange tree blossoms from an acrobats top hat while a women, having been sawed in half, is pulled apart.
Designed by Sveta Dorosheva, each illustration was meticulously altered to achieve the spectacular animation. Accompanied by two unique Jokers and The Turk, a mechanical chess player from the 18th century whom many believed possessed artificial intelligence, represented on the Ace of Spades.
Never before has the mystique of magic been showcased on a deck of cards like this. A wonderful tribute to the art and a fun addition to your collection." -Dan and Dave

The purpose of these decks were for his own use during the magic show.

Blue Artifice v2 (Ellusionist)

"Perfection was only the first step. Enter, the next generation of Artifice. Second Edition: Blue. Due to overwhelming demand, the functional border on the back was added to improve upon the deceptiveness of sleights requiring the alignment of cards, such as a Push Off Double or Elmsley count.

The dark psychology of artifice just got a massive upgrade.

• True-metallic silver line art

• Prime casino-grade stock for control and durability
• Stylized border, maintaining the aesthetics of the original design

If An Octopus Could Palm (Autographed)

"If an Octopus Could Palm is Dan and Dave's first book and reveals over a dozen conceptual palming techniques designed to inspire new ways of thinking about the age-old practice of holding out.
Highlights include a method for replacing a bottom palmed card to the top of the deck, a switch loading a palmed card beneath the top card in the action of turning it over, a variation of the Miller Cascade Control that allows for the card to be palmed and a streamlined approach for executing the Diagonal Palm Shift from a peek.
What is palming? Basically, it’s the techniques magicians and gamblers use to secretly remove cards from the pack into hidden positions in the hands. Gamblers refer to it as holding out. In fact, a card can be palmed from any location in the deck into pretty much any palm position without your spectators ever suspecting. As a result, these cards can be surreptitiously placed either back on top, bottom, or anywhere you conceive (your pocket, a shoe, your spectator’s purse, even another palm). Palming also affords the ability to retain certain cards while the spectators shuffle, only to be replaced later, under your control.
With each purchase of If an Octopus Could Palm, a deck of commemorative playing cards is included. These cards were printed in limited quantities and will not be sold separately. The artwork for the cards was inspired by Juan Luis Buñuel’s original painting for the cover of the book." -Dan and Dave

Erdnaseum Squeezers/Erdnaseum Commemorative Deck (Dan and Dave)

"Take a step back in time, when Erdnase was alive. The Bee Squeezers box is an exact reproduction of an early 1900s classic. The Bee Worm back playing cards inside have been imprinted with an original Scott Kim ambigram that says, "S.W. Erdnase" or "W.E. Sanders" when turned end-for-end. Traditionally cut and printed by the US Playing Card Company on premium paper using their casino quality web press.

These cards are offered to the public in commemoration of the enduring mystery of The Expert at the Card Table and its author, S.W. Erdnase. Among the men whose names have been discovered as anagrammatic equivalents to the pseudonymous writer, W.E. Sanders emerges as perhaps the most compelling.

A longtime card player and a student of magic, Sanders was the kind of person who took half-a-dozen decks with him on a camping trip. Skilled in deception, he rearranged the letters in his name, tore pages from his diaries and snuck out of his home for late night visits to high-rolling private clubs. A mining engineer and professional writer by trade, Sanders was eccentric and brilliant, offering no justification and seeking no credit for the knowledge  he imparted. But whatever the result of his actions may be, if they inspire lovers of card entertainment and legerdemain, then they will have provided the primary motive of card table artifice, as it needs the mystery." -Dan and Dave

White Knuckle Playing Cards

The English Pattern of the standard playing card comes from 100s of years of tradition. It carries with it the patrimony of the Middle Ages. It is no coincidence that the Jacks in the English deck are lansquenets. In the time when these emerged, it was the currency of power, and the means by which Lords and Kings negotiated their differences.

These were characters contemporary with their time. This heritage was allowed for boundless exploration of the imagination. Kings and Queens and Lansquenets, these are things legends are made of. The dark, dim ages of medieval Europe, and all the fascination that it evokes.

These are characters that have lain down for ages, and determined the good fortunes of gambling man. Playing cards are unique and even powerful artifacts, because they determine the outcome of luck and fortune.

Each and every card in the White Knuckle Deck is a unique hand rendering in keeping with the style. Nothing has been done to depart from the tradition. Rather, conscious decisions were made to preserve the foundation of the English deck. Where ambiguity gave way to artistic license, reference was made to its ancestor, the French Rouen design.

Guardian V2 (Theory11)

"It has arrived. A deck whose design itself stems from the foundation of Bicycle's classic Rider Back design, only rejuvenated in a more refined, intricate, industrial, modern aesthetic.

This is what the classic Bicycle Angels look like on steroids. Never before has a deck of this quality and level of intricacy been produced. Never before has this much attention to detail been manifested through a pack of playing cards. This new edition features embossed, raised tilting and the metallic foil logo emblem.

Produced by Theory11 and manufactured by the US Playing Card Company, the Guardian deck takes elements of ancient scriptural art and combines them with a modern, industrial design.

This is shown in the heavenly chariot scene printed on the front of the box, and the powerful image of a Guardian angel printed on the backs of the cards.

From the intricate detail of the protective angels to the sleek colour selection, this deck will draw additional awe to any effect, routine and flourish. Every inch has been painstakingly worked on in both design and production to ensure the deck is truly flawless.
