The Crown decks First and Second Editions look very similar, so how do you tell them apart? Well, we have managed to observe a few differences and we want to share them with you. We will only cover the differences on the tuckcases. For all images, V1 will always be on the left, V2 on the right.
Sides: The most obvious difference is the side. For the V1, " 1st Edition" is clearly printed. There is no difference on the other side of the case for both versions.
EDIT: This difference only applies to the Blue and Red versions, but not the Green. We have dropped The Blue Crown an email as to why this is so, and are still waiting for them to get back to us. Thank you Eugene and Micky for raising questions about this.
Colour: The colours for the V1 (RGB, the white portions and even the black border) are darker for the V1's, although this is not immediately apparent.
Ridges: When you run your fingers across the two tuckcases, there are ridges on the V2's which are absent on the V1 on the tuckcase design.
Bottom: The box bottom differences are also clear. V2's have the crown logo which V1's do not.
Back Design: Lastly, if you observe the backs closely, there is a very slight difference in both designs. We will leave it to you to find it :)
And there you have it, so many differences to tell the V1's and V2's apart. If you want to use the information and pictures here, remember to aknowledge The Card Collectors. Thank you!
