charity: water (Theory11)

"You can make a difference. You can save a life. You can change the world.

charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Over the past five years, charity: water has raised $50million and funded 4,282 water projects.

Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. 30,000 people die every week from unsafe water, and 90% of those deaths are under the age of five. With your support, we can make a difference.

100% of the proceeds from each deck purchased at theory11 will go directly to charity: water. Join us. Support charity: water.

These funds will be used to further develop and grow their organization, providing essential support for their operations worldwide. charity: water has already provided water to over 2,000,000 people. In 19 countries. On average, each well built costs $5,000 and serves a community of up to 250 people.

Produced by theory11 and manufactured by The United States Playing Card Company, these are playing cards for a cause. You're not just purchasing a deck, you're providing a solution. You're leading the way to help end the water crisis.

With your support, we can make a difference. Please join theory11 in this project and spread the word to your friends and family.

Designed by charity: water in collaboration with theory11, these playing cards are produced using paper made from hydroelectric power and renewable energy sources." -theory11

In Singapore, we are very lucky to have ready access to potable, hygienic drinking water. Therefore, in the spirit of the charity deck, we will be donating our earnings from this deck to the Singapore Children's Cancer Foundation. The donation will be made once our last deck has been sold.

On behalf of the children and the society, we would like to thank all of you for making this possible.

Steampunk (Theory11)

"At the edge of industry, therein lies Steampunk.

Ripped from the pages of science fiction, the gears are turning, the steam is pumping, and the playing cards were finally born. It wasn't easy. The paper used on these tuck cases did NOT exist.

We made the bronze paper from scratch in order to perfectly print the ink that covers its surface in 19th century Victorian machinery.

The boldly stamped, debased elements cast shadows of illusion and create a perspective of depth and weight. The vents on top of the box invite you to take a look inside.

Opening the box, you will discover 52 pieces of machinery. The depth of the playing cards is fittingly unreal.

So unreal, it beckons you to stare at it's seemingly infinite array of detail. Designed by Alex Beltechi and constructed of 12 million 3D polygons. The jokers are morphed into jet turbines of steel. The Ace of Spades is a window of opportunity to witness the gears of intricate beauty and complexity.

A joint creative collaboration between the United States Playing Card Company and theory11. Produced by theory11 and designed by Alex Beltechi in Romania.

Own a piece of science fiction. Where vintage industry meets reality." -theory11

The Style Deck (Bedeceived)

"On November 5th, 2011, the debut deck from Bedeceived was released for preorder. In just under 3 months, half the stock was gone.

That was just the prerelease.

Designed by Jason Wither, The Style Deck is the first in a series of 3 decks (Style, Mystery, and Confidence) from Bedeceived. Add Style to your performances with this custom deck, which is printed on Aristocrat stock with a Magic finish - a combination that has been proven performance-perfect in the magic and cardistry community.

Only a little over 2500 were printed, and only 2000 of those were reserved to be sold. Over half the stock was taken in the preorder event, and once they're gone, they're gone. These decks will go fast, and they will never be on the market at this price again." -Bedeceived

Black and Silver Acorns (Conjuring Arts Research Centre)

Guy Hollingworth’s excellent Acorn back design is now available in Black and Silver. Both decks have a back design made up of sleight of hand maneuvers.
The Silver edition, however, is a very limited reversed version and is only available in Cambric finish. It has silver as the prominent back color instead of black. According to Conjuring Arts, only "a few hundred of these decks" were printed. That would mean there are less than 1,000 of these decks around, making them a very, very rare find. However, as both Black and Silver editions were were packaged using identical tuck boxes, the only way to tell them apart is a sticker, which is pasted on all the Silver editions by Conjuring Arts, before shipping them out.

Pentad (JC Sum and Magic Babe Ning)

"“Pentad” is a Pythagorean term for the quantity of five and also refers to a period of five years. The Limited Edition “Pentad Deck” commemorates J C Sum & ‘Magic Babe’ Ning’s half a decade milestone as “Asia’s Most Lethal Combination in Magic”.
Designed & hand-drawn by an artist based in Japan, Eldred Tjie, the gorgeous full-coloured back design is a “manga”-inspired potpourri of artistic imagery featuring signature elements of the magic duo.
The Gemaco® casino quality poker-sized cards are printed in the U.S.A. on fine European paper stock and features regular faces. Each deck also includes an extra blank faced card. The card stock is very nice and is slightly thicker and stiffer than the traditional Bicycle Rider or Mandolin decks.  Each deck also includes an extra blank faced card. The deck is encased in an all-silver tuck case with a clear front window that shows off the playing card back design.
The deck sold out within one week of its release in a limited one-time only run." -Backstage Business
